By using Tried, you agree to these terms. They're written to be read; if anything's unclear, email [email protected].

Your account

You need to be 16 or over. Keep your sign-in safe; you're responsible for what happens on your account. One person, one account.

Testing other people's apps

• Only claim a spot if you'll really use the app, and give honest, specific feedback in your own words.
• Answer the maker's check question truthfully. Copy-paste or made-up feedback gets rejected, and repeated rejections pause your testing.
• You test other people's apps at your own risk. We don't review every app; report anything that looks harmful.
• Keep license codes and anything private a maker shares with you to yourself.

Posting your app

• Only post apps, features and pages that are yours to share, legal, and what they say they are. No malware, scams or apps that collect data without saying so.
• Nothing sexual, pornographic or otherwise adult (NSFW), and no gambling. Testers can be as young as 16, so everything you post has to be suitable for them.
• Review feedback fairly: approve honest feedback even when it's critical, give a real reason when you reject, and rate it truthfully.
• Perks and license codes are your promise to testers, not ours. Make sure they work, say clearly what they include and when they run out, and honor them.

Testimonials and feedback

You keep the rights to what you post, and let us show it on Tried as described in our privacy page. When a tester makes a testimonial public, the maker may use it, with the tester's name and a link to its proof page, to promote their app. Makers may use private feedback to improve their app, but not publish it without the tester's permission.

Credits

Credits are how testing is traded here. They have no cash value and can't be sold or transferred. We may adjust credits earned by breaking these rules.

Not allowed

Spam, harassment, hate, fake accounts, buying or swapping approvals, scraping the site, or getting around a suspension.

Perks and codes

Perks, license codes, discounts and vouchers come from makers, not from us. We don't check them, and we can't promise that they work, are still valid, or are delivered. Anything about a perk is between the maker and the tester. If a code doesn't work, ask the maker in the test's chat; if they won't sort it out, report them. We may remove perks or apps that don't deliver.

Reports, removals and suspensions

Anyone can report an app, a person or a conversation. We may remove apps, hide testimonials, or suspend accounts that break these rules, and we tell makers why their app was removed. If you think we got it wrong, email us and we'll take another look.

Paid features

Tried is free today. If we add paid features, we'll say so clearly before anything costs money; nothing changes for what you already have without notice.

No warranty

Tried is provided as is. We're not responsible for the apps you test, the feedback you receive, the perks and codes makers offer, or what makers and testers do outside the site. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you've paid us, which today is nothing.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Security. We may close accounts that break these rules.

Changes

We'll update this page when the terms change, and email you about anything important before it applies.
